The history of abortion, religion hold back abortion
What is abortion
Abortion is a right that women have to terminate a pregnancy that is often involuntary, forced or by medical risk for the woman. It is necessary when women ask for it, it is their choice because it is they who decide their bodies. Because for any woman, minor or adult it is essential for her to have the choice.
Religions, threats to abortion
In Christianity or Islam for example the rights of the woman are often limited and must ask their access to the husband. As for the subject of abortion in Christianity it is strictly forbidden because it is considered to kill a human being. According to Islam, a woman has the right to an abortion within 4 months because the fetus is not yet a soul. Just with these two examples we can see that abortion is very clearly limited. Abortion is clearly not accessible in all countries. Countries governed by religion such as Iran, Iraq or Afghanistan or even very religious countries such as Brazil, Mexico or Venezuela are countries in which abortion is completely prohibited. It is for this when France separated the power of the church and the state with the law of December 9, 1905 which eliminated the power of religion on rights and duties.
A right for which we are still fighting
Only since January 17 1975, women have the right to abortion in France. In Spain it is when 2010, so we notice that abortion is very recent in women's rights. Fortunately, we live in free and developing countries where human rights are generally respected. We can clearly see that in the southern countries, often poor or less developed, abortion is inaccessible. Fortunately, more and more countries are offering access to abortion. There are often demonstrations in these countries to have this right as in Brazil for example.
