It is not Carey Mulligan that we will be talking about but Helena Bonham Carter, in the role of Edith Ellyn who will also fight for the right to vote. Known for her roles as Marla Singer in Fight Club or Bellatrix Lestrange in Harry Potter. She greatly represents the figure of the revolutionary woman in the shadows. She is a feminist who does not dare to hide her words during an interview.

With Les Suffragettes, it reminds us that the right to vote is a power that the people have and that they should be proud of this right and which should also become a duty. This gives us the information that women fought for this right and that it has only been available for a few decades. Still unavailable in some countries, it gives the freedom to express oneself and to assert one's citizenship.
